Young and toned skin? One hour of sport a day is enough
Sport not only helps our body stay young and toned, but it drastically reduces the stress that often causes dermatological problems.
Many skin diseases, such as psoriasis and acne, worsen when subjected to great periods of stress due to the increased production of cortisol. Through sport and the endorphin, which is produced during physical activity, it is possible to have a positive influence on psychophysical and skin well-being.
Prof. Gabriella Fabbrocini, Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at the "Federico II" University of Naples, stated that not doing sports increases the amount of glucose present in the blood, fueling the inflammation underlying skin diseases.
Furthermore, doing physical activity during puberty also has long-term benefits, preserving the skin and avoiding the appearance of wrinkles. Playing sports means increasing cardiac output, tissue perfusion, the availability of nutrients in the skin and therefore the stimulation of neocollagenesis, eliminating dead cells and increasing cell turnover.
