Titanic objects up for auction
On the occasion of the centenary of the most fascinating maritime tragedy of the century, an anonymous collector of objects from the Titanic will auction his entire treasure, consisting of more than 5,000 pieces.
According to a 2007 estimate, the entire collection would be worth $ 189 million, a price destined to rise as the enthusiast added other "precious" objects until 2010. Who knows what prompted the seller of this little piece of history to get rid of everything he got hold of in the span of 23 years (from 1987 to 2010).
The auction house, which will announce the result of the bids on the day the Titanic sank (April 15), has decided that the entire collection will be sold together, or in a single block, in all probability to preserve its historical value. and monetary of the thousands of objects, which no longer lie with the wreck of the Titanic at the bottom of the sea.
