Everything there is to know about nylon

Typically, cotton is currently blended with synthetic fibers such as polyester. As a result, it is of lower quality than pure cotton and is also harmful to the environment as it is treated with many chemicals. It is therefore recommended that 100% cotton clothing always be preferred.

Washing tips

One of the main advantages of cotton is in washing. It is a resistant fabric, which can be easily placed in the washing machine at 40 degrees (T-shirts) or at 30 (delicate items such as underwear).

Avoid too high temperatures or too frequent washing: you risk damaging the fabric and making it shrink. With white cotton, you can use bleach without risk. With colors, on the other hand, use a stain remover that respects the colors. Be careful, the cotton fibers are not elastic, so they can easily crease and need to be ironed often.

Organic cotton

What is that? A cotton made by small producers (often derived from fair trade) who do not use GMOs. The pesticides used are natural. For example, these producers use manure as a fertilizer.

The advantages: The absence of chemicals makes this cotton hypoallergenic and more pleasant for the skin.

Washing tips: in the washing machine at 40 ° with an ecological detergent (possibly); avoid the dryer.
